After an absence of four years Abbots Langley Lodge No 4645 held a successful Ladies Festival at the Aldenham Golf and Country Club. The evening was tinged with a note of sadness at the prospect of losing their master, W Bro Stewart Waddell, as business commitments have meant a relocation to Luxembourg. A raffle raised £500 for Guide Dogs UK.
The Provincial Junior Grand Warden, W Bro Peter Thompson joined the mayor of Broxbourne, Coun Charles Tranham, a member of Stanboroughs Lodge No 9523 at the opening of Isobel Hospice's new day hospice facility in Hoddesdon which is supported by lodges that meet at the Halsey Masonic Centre, Cheshunt.
